Special Presentation: “A Day Like Any Other – What Columbine, Sandy Hook & Parkland Tragedies Taught Us”

School safety and mental health are top of mind concerns for parents and educators. With few exceptions, schools and communities are faced with the dilemma of how to protect the integrity of the environment where learning takes place amidst a world of increasing violence. The concerns for school safety are not new. The challenges are real.

In this engaging address, one of the country’s foremost emergency management and threat assessment authorities explores a range of lessons learned from tragedies that struck schools
on a seemingly day like any other.  This message has application not just to EHS Professionals in all industries, but to everyone and their families.
