Ethics poses questions about who we are and how we ought to act. There are standards that govern our actions whether they are right or wrong. Certain character traits, such as honesty, compassion, and fairness make us who we are. But how do we ensure that our personal ethics don’t cause us to minimize or ignore certain concerns? In this course, EHS professionals seeking to understand professional ethics concepts will examine the fundamental causes of our actions and examine the Code of Ethics for both health and safety professionals.
